Stupid Landlord
This story is all kinds of stupid. I used to live in an apartment (stupid). The A/C was run on a chiller system which means that very cold water was pumped through lines in everyone's apartment (stupid). Problem is that I was at the end of the line. And it was clogged. They came out and tried flushing the lines and tried some other repairs and it worked like 1% better but still got up to 90+ degrees in the apartment (stupid). They told us to turn on a fan (extremely stupid). They tried yet a few more times to unclog the lines but could not. They said we'd just have to live with it (stupid). Just about then, the weather started cooling off so it didn't bother me quite so much anymore. The next summer, I was still living there (stupid). So as soon as it started getting warm, I told them again that they needed to repair my A/C. After trying about 7 more times to flush the lines, they finally unclogged it and it worked great. They gave me one free month's rent for suffering many months of heat. Better than nothing. Just after they fixed the A/C, I gave notice to vacate the apartment. Hehe.
